“Sophia has been my Greek teacher for almost a year now. I started as a complete beginner and wanted to learn Greek as I love Greece and travel there regularly.
Over the past year I developed a certain passion for Greek and Sophia certainly was one of the main contributors. In her classes, she creates a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, ideal for learning a foreign language.
Sophia's method of teaching is very structured, making complex aspects of the Greek language understandable. We start every lesson with a recap of the previous week’s material, making it easier to memorise vocabulary and grammar. She also uses a variety of books and online sources in her lessons so that we can go into more detail whenever required. Her detailed knowledge not only of modern, but also of ancient Greek means that she can explain the origins and development of words. This is not only helpful, but also extremely interesting when studying a foreign language.
I truly enjoy every lesson with Sophia and feel motivated to spend more time studying Greek in my free time. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn Greek or who might want to improve their language skills.”
